The 7kW Mini Pro 3 is less boxy than the Pro 2 and EO describes it as a ‘small and stylish design’ but we think it just looks… ok. It uses the EO app to control charging schedules, monitor usage and bills etc. It comes as an untethered or tethered unit and offers a three-year warranty. So, what’s new? Pretty hard to tell really: EO says it now has, as standard, power-balancing capability (pretty much the norm, to be fair), but more importantly, it comes with CT clamps as standard so you can charge your car from your solar panels. On cloudy days, the charger will supplement with green grid energy. What is attractive though, is the price: at time of writing, you can get the Mini Pro 3 for £966 fully installed.
