Salary sacrifice company loveelectric is offering 5,000 free miles of charging for those who opt for an EV as their company car.
The company, which focuses on electric cars is offering the deal with the OVO Charge Anytime tariff at 7p/kWh which is around 2p per mile.
Loveelectric has also partnered with wallcharger company Hypervolt offering up to 50% savings on a new home unit. Buyers can add the charger to the EV order and save around £500.
So how does it work?
Thanks to salary sacrifice, buyers can pay for their charger from their gross salary (i.e. pre-tax) rather than your take home pay. As the cost of the charger is deducted before tax, buyers will subsequently pay less Income Tax and reduce your National Insurance Contributions, making it the most cost-effective way to pay for the charger.
For EV owners who don’t have the option to install a wallcharger or for some reason the charger is incompatible, EV buyers can use OVO’s Charge Anywhere and redeem loveelectric 5,000 free miles out on the road.
